I believe the children are our future; teach them well and let them lead the way.
I watched The Craft countless times as a middle schooler and as I grew older, really grew to enjoy it as the cult film it became. Eventually I decided that casual witchery, 90s fashion, and booze needed to be combined, so I created the following drinking game…Happy Halloween.
One must drink from beverage when:
- Anyone says “Manon”
- Bonnie’s scars are referenced
- Sarah’s mother makes an on-screen appearance
- Breckin Myers is a twat
- The Four Corners are mentioned (any of them)
- A member of the coven is bullied
- Sarah smirks
Optional Shit-faced Rule: You have to drink every time the girls use witchcraft.
This kid is gonna be so embarrassed in about 15 years.
Once I finally got home from work (Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening on campus - 54 straight hours), my roommates and I carved pumpkins while watching The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Guess which one is mine.
I wish Folu and I had thought of this. Maybe then I could drag her out tonight…
Important Conversations: Halloween Costumes

I’m totally the nerd who knows that Hocus Pocus is originally set in 1693, so Sarah Sanderson (and her sisters) would never have heard the term “amok,” since it was a Malaysian term that was popularized when James Cook published his journals in the late 18th century.
As a result, unless the Sanderson sisters had been awakened between 1693 and 1993, none of them would have heard the term “running amok” in conversation.
I shoot the lights out,
Hide till it’s bright out,
Whoa, just another lonely night,
Are you willing to sacrifice your life?

Awww, trick or treat!
