The odds are never in our favor.
I’m there opening night.

Legendary.
New photos and poster from Catching Fire!
I didn’t think it was possible to love J Law any more.
Happy 22nd birthday to my favorite.
By suggesting that Katniss occupied feminine and masculine positions (and is therefore not locked into either), I was inching toward the idea that gender absolutes are less confusing than inapt. I mean, is killing masculine? Is nurturing feminine? Katniss nurtures and she kills, and she does both extremely well. Katniss is a fantasy figure, but partly what makes her powerful — and, I suspect, what makes her so important to a lot of girls and women — is that she’s one of the truest feeling, most complex female characters to hit American movies in a while. She isn’t passive, she isn’t weak, and she isn’t some random girl. She’s active, she’s strong and she’s the girl who motivates the story.
Boom goes the dynamite (at the food supply near the Cornucopia).
On having to chop wood for the film Winter’s Bone.
I’m kind of in love with her.

New photo and article about Lenny Kravitz and his role in The Hunger Games as Cinna. He has this to say about the book and his character:
Kravitz took the role after meeting with director Gary Ross (Pleasantville) and reading the first book of the best-selling trilogy by Suzanne Collins. “I thought it was really good storytelling,“ Kravitz says. “I’m very much into stories. The character was interesting. I like Gary’s previous work. And I said, Yeah, let’s go.”
In The Hunger Games, his character creates a series of striking outfits for the young warrior, which isn’t exactly a stretch for the stylish rocker. “He’s very streamlined, he’s very quiet,” Kravitz says of Cinna. “He knows what he’s doing. He’s confident. He’s got a big heart. I just liked the way he moved – very smooth.”
More awesomeness for The Hunger Games - they’ve released a new poster of the Girl on Fire. Can’t wait to get home and finish Catching Fire for the millionth time.
Here’s the first image released of Katniss and Peeta from the infamous opening ceremony of the games, where Cinna and Portia dress them as burning coals.
I cannot wait to see Katniss transform into the Girl on Fire.
I am obviously losing my mind over this film…

Another image from the upcoming film adaptation for The Hunger Games. I assume this is the group from District 12 awaiting the scores for the tributes after their private sessions for the Gamemakers.
In other news that should come as a shock to no one, I am a massive nerd.
