Speaking with MTV News while promoting his turn in Zero Dark Thirty, the actor behind Coach Taylor says that he hasn’t heard anything about a Friday Night Lights movie — nor is he interested. “My general attitude about Friday Night Lights is that it was a great movie with Billy Bob [Thorton]. And it was a great TV show,” he said. “I never had more fun doing anything… They ended it in exactly the right time and exactly the right way.”

HBO is back in business with Tom Hanks. The premium cable network has a half-hour comedy, titled Players, in development from Hanks and his long-time producing partner and Playtone co-founder Gary Goetzman. The project follows the lives of college athletes. I am all over this.  Hopefully it can even provide useful material for my class.
